Over the last 30 years, many people have made The Hayes their home, enjoying the beauty of the place, the elegant surroundings, the relaxed environment and the opportunity to initiate and take part in the programme of activities and events. Others have visited from time to time or provided regular support to help with the house, the grounds and the activities. Every single person who has lived or visited The Hayes has contributed to the very special feel of the place.
If you would like to become a friend of The Hayes, joining in with the programme or helping with events and project development, we would be glad to hear from you.

The Hayes is a Grade ll listed building dating from 1813. It has been used for community activities since 1972 and has proved to be a haven of peace and quiet for individuals and groups who have enjoyed the house and grounds and found inspiration for their artistic and meditative activities. The Hayes has also opened its doors over the years for charity events and art and craft exhibitions.

The Hayes has welcomed the community to share arts, recreation and environmental activities for over 30 years.
The Friends of the Hayes is now being set up as a response to those who said they wished to become more involved with the activities at The Hayes both as visitors and in helping The Hayes and the programme of activities to develop and grow.

If you would like to join The Friends of the Hayes or would like more to participate in the programme of activities for 2009, please email friendsofthehayes@yahoo.co.uk
